Minecraft Galore & Emoji

Jackson and Susie love to play games on their Mom’s phone. But today, a freak power surge sends them INTO their favorite games. What a treat – to be INSIDE an app! Until they find themselves under attack by creepers and zombies and some very irate birds.

A fun book for reluctant and experienced readers with a recommended reading level of ages 7-11 and grades 2nd- 5th.

The first in a series of app mash-up books by PT Evans, who has been writing books for children for twenty years.

My Review

This book features the best of both worlds with minecraft and angry birds. I thought this story equally incorporated both parts well.

Jackson and his sister, Susie, really found themselves in over their heads in the world of minecraft. As if being transported into a video game was bad (or good) enough, they had to deal with zombies, creepers, and angry birds, and pigs. This is a fun read that the younger audience will enjoy over and over again. Will Jackson and Susie escape minecraft? You will have to pick up a copy of this book to find out.

Spike is an indoor cat who’s been watching Jason play Minecraft for years. Then one afternoon – SWOOSH! – Spike gets sucked inside Jason’s game.  But Spike isn’t happy with the world Jason’s created and makes some big changes of his own. (Jason didn’t need those emeralds, did he?) It doesn’t take long before Spike goes from ocelot bait to king of the jungle.

A fun book for reluctant and experienced readers with a recommended reading level of ages 7-9 and grades 2nd- 3rd.

My Review

Spike is my hero. I love him. He is so creative and brave. He really shows why he deserves to be the King of the (Minecraft) Jungle. Seeing the improvements that he made to Jason's realm in Minecraft, he is way more creative then Jason. The brave part is Spike surviving the creepers. The more books I read from this author about the world of Minecraft, the more intrigued I am to check it out. I know just who to go to for all the ins about this world...my nephews. They will enjoy this book as much as I have. I can't wait to see what happens to Spike in the next book.

Spike is back in his owner’s Minecraft game! But instead of the exciting jungle adventure he’s hoping for, Spike is attacked by Zombies, Skeletons, and Endermen – all before lunch! Will the curious cat get a chance to explore and build in peace? Or will he use up his nine lives just trying to survive? Book Two in the Minecat series from Montage Publishing written buy award winning author PT Evans.

A fun Minecraft book for reluctant and experienced readers with a recommended reading level of ages 7-9 and grades 2nd- 3rd.

My Review

Spike is back at it again. He find himself in a different part of the world of Minecraft with new enemies including his human and friends. Yet, Spike is living the life. He is busy building a giant roller coaster, a castle, and many other objects; all thanks to the sugar cane field he found. The sugar cane has given him an extra boost. If you enjoyed the first book, you will enjoy this book.

My Review

I knew there was a reason I really liked Annie. I read book five. In that book is where I first met Annie, her family, and her best friends. At that time I instantly fell in love with Annie for she and I shared a love of unicorns. Yet, I find out in this first book in this series that Annie is a horse lover fan as well (I should have suspected). We are kindred souls.

It was great to get to know everyone from the beginning. Annie's father and his wacky ideas. Yet, when you hear about his latest one, he does not sound that crazy. I kind of felt back for Annie as Kevin was being the typical mean brother. Yet, I could not feel really bad as Annie was treating Dot and Billy a bit mean as well. This book had a bit of a lesson in it as well. Emoji love.
